This is all I have heard so far. There is a little more in-depth discussion of these notifications being carried on in the comments section of the first post. There are rumors of other schools, but I am not comfortable posting them until someone submits them to this site. As to a question posted in the comments section: Yes, I would be happy to post results of non-MFA fellowships, if anyone sees fit to send them to me. Thanks for everyone's comments; I'll throw things on here as soon as they come in. Thanks to all those who have contributed.
A quick note: I've been a little hesitant to compile results from message boards, as many of you know, some people just can't be trusted. So, I'm a little wary of message boards and people who frequent them, but in the sake of keeping this interesting, I'll post most of their results anyway.

man, post updates!! we're all eager to see what's going on! thanks for this site. it's nice to have a community to stress with while we wait for our letters!
How'd you get the information from Michener online?
I am wondering if anyone has yet been rejected or accepted to the following MFA programs: UF, FSU, NYU, Hollins, Indiana, UMASS, & IOWA. Thanks...And I'll post if I hear from any of the above.
rejected by UMASS, letter dated 2/22/06!
accepted at iowa, 2/24
Hey, I just came across your site. I'm a poet who applied to 9 MFA programs. I heard back from 3 (one acceptance at Maryland, two rejections elsewhere), and I'm waiting to hear back from the rest. I'm so nervous about Iowa! Good luck to all of you :)
Rejection letter from UMASS Amherst.
I'm sorry, what does Positive AND Negative mean??
Hello Waiting,
"Positive AND Negative" means that people have received both acceptances and rejections.
COLUMBIA sent me a POSITIVE by phone yesterday. Also a fellowhip.
Didn't see them listed yet, so maybe you can update with that.
This was for fiction, if you need to know that.
I haven't heard anything form the other 10 schools.
Oooh, I'm sorry. I thought this was your own personal list. I didn't realize it was a bunch of people's. Thanks!

I imagine many of you are nervous about this and wish the site was updated, so here a live journal site that is doing the same thing.
Here is what they have different as of 3/05/06:
Arkansas - one person got accepted in poetry. no idea about fiction.
Columbia - poetry and fiction acceptances and rejections. not sure if they've notified everyone.
George Mason - poetry acceptance.
Indiana - poetry acceptance.
Johns Hopkins - rejections reported in fiction and poetry. no acceptances yet.
Montana - notified a fiction person of acceptance over the phone.
Ohio State University - one person waitlisted in poetry. haven't heard about fiction.
Stegner - people have been notified of acceptances over the phone in both poetry and fiction.
Syracuse - one person got in for poetry, no word on fiction.
Utah - called acceptees in fiction. no word on poetry, and also sent rejections.
UWisconsin Madison - rejections updated online, a couple of waitlist notices in fiction. no idea about poetry.
Wash. U St. Louis - lots of rejection notices by post, one person reported an acceptance in poetry.
just to add, i've been waitlisted at syracuse (via snail mail). (this is in poetry)
accepted at New College for MFA in fiction via phone and then during a personal interview. Beginning of February.
psst--I got into Wash U. St. Louis on Friday (for poetry).
the lack of updates is killing me here. Would someone like me to start a different MFA acceptances blog? I could update it daily...
Lincoln's obviously distressed about the lack of updates. Well, I update this blog as I receive information from other people; it's not as if I'm any sort of insider. In fact, I updated the page quite thoroughly last night, and there are not any acceptances/ rejections that I have heard of since. If you want to start your own blog, please do so and send me a link. I'll post it on our frontpage.
Really, Josh, I'd prefer if you could not only update more frequently but also actually force the schools I'm waiting on to send me some acceptances. Seriously!
No kidding. I've gotten rejected from four schools so far: Vanderbilt, Cornell, Michigan, and Iowa. I could use an advocate myself.
Hey man, not trying to butt in on your thing, its just that when I posted that comment you hadn't posted any updates (that I could tell) in 10 days.
I thought maybe you had abandoned ship or something.
Acceptance from Minnesota!
Has anyone received a waitlist notice from Austin yet? I know rejections and acceptances have gone out...

I checked my Iowa admissions page and I've been "not admitted" to the creative nonfiction program as of this morning.

To James Yeh: Congratulations on the acceptances (San Marcos was not quite as thrilled with my application), and yes, the Zombies, when not too flowery, are great. As is Dylan's New Morning, which has had a second life of sorts in the past few weeks.
Here's to Irvine...good luck.
James, I was rejected from SAIC this week.
Anyone have any info about California College of the Arts in San Francisco? I'm thinking of enrolling there...since I got in, yeah!

Hey, if anyone is heading to the Montana MFA next year, feel free to e-mail me with any questions. I'm in the program and will be around all summer here in Missoula. jmmacleod@gmail.com. Also, we have a rather goofy unofficial website with various events & pictures listed. www.montanamfa.org
